St. Thomas Apostle Young Adults
Visit our St. Thomas the Apostle Young Adults (STAY) website HERE and subscribe to our newsletter! Or find us on Facebook.
STAY provides young adults in the Woodley Park area and beyond with opportunities to deepen their faith and live the Gospel through spiritual, service, and social programs. Join us each Sunday for our STAY Mass at 7:30pm, where young adults and the "young at heart" are always welcome, or at one of our events, some of which are mentioned below and all of which can be found on our website and in our newsletter!
If you are a young adult (ages 21-39) and would like to get more involved with STAY, please speak to an executive board member after Mass or email us at email@example.com.
Recurring STAY events:
Every Tuesday is STAY with the Word from 7-8:15pm in the parish library. Newcomers of all ages are always welcome and you don't even need to bring your own Bible! Questions? Email us at STAYspirituality@gmail.com.
Please join us after the 7:30pm Mass the first Sunday of each month (unless it's a holiday weekend!) for our monthly Pizza Sunday with food and fellowship.
Volunteer with SOME (So Others Might Eat)
Join us in serving lunch to the hungry the third Saturday of each month. Volunteers carpool from St. Thomas at 10:30am; please email Jae Ahn at firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested in participating.
Volunteer with IONA
Join us in delivering meals to the homebound the fourth (and fifth) Saturday of each month with IONA Senior Services. Volunteers carpool from St. Thomas at 9:45am; please email Peter Brusoe at email@example.com if you're interested in participating.
Taizé and Adoration
The third Thursday of each month, STAY hosts Eucharistic Adoration with Taizé prayer from 7-8pm. These meditative and simple songs alternate with periods of silence, and all are welcome to join. Following Adoration, at 8pm, we meet in the parish hall for food and fellowship.
